This website provides information about the HealthSouth Securities Settlement Funds. These Funds were created by the settlement of separate cases brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and plaintiffs in class actions in U.S. District Court.

On this website, you will find detailed information about the Settlements; who is eligible to receive a payment from the Settlements; and answers to frequently asked questions.

At the time they were reached, these settlements totaled approximately $550 million in cash and securities for distribution to investors who purchased or otherwise acquired HealthSouth stocks, bonds and/or options during certain time periods.

The deadline to file a claim for payment was February 28, 2008.

In addition to the HealthSouth Securities Settlement, the stockholder plaintiffs recently reached a partial settlement with defendant Ernst & Young LLP ("E&Y"). On March 27, 2009, the court preliminarily approved a $109 million settlement with E&Y.
